DETAILED INFORMATION

DETAILED INFORMATION

The comprehensive genetic analysis GenScan® COMPLEX is a modern and accessible tool in healthcare. Utilizing the latest advancements in molecular genetics, it explores predispositions to a range of hereditary and lifestyle diseases. It can uncover potential health risks hidden in DNA, allowing for individually tailored lifestyle adjustments and appropriate preventive measures.

The analysis thoroughly examines various areas of hereditary and genetically influenced diseases, lifestyle-related disorders, the body's ability to metabolize environmental toxins (including addictive substances and medications), the risk of cardiovascular and oncological diseases, metabolic, immunological, and reproductive disorders, among others. However, the presence of predispositions does not guarantee the onset of illness during one's lifetime. By implementing appropriate measures, many diseases can effectively be prevented.

A crucial aspect of the examination is consultation with a specialist - a geneticist or physician - who will explain the analysis results in detail and develop individual preventive measures. They will suggest areas for future focus and recommend any additional tests deemed necessary. If required, they will advise on suitable treatment or supplementation. The results of this analysis enable you to improve your quality of life and maintain good health in the long term.

The result will be delivered within 6 months.
HOW DOES THE WHOLE PROCESS WORK?

HOW DOES THE WHOLE PROCESS WORK?

After ordering the test, you will receive an email with detailed information. DNA samples are obtained either by a swab from the oral cavity or by blood collection. You can perform the oral swab yourself in the comfort of your home using a collection kit, which we will send to you by mail or through Zásilkovna along with instructions and necessary documents.

Blood collection always takes place at our clinic. The resulting report will be uploaded to your profile on ghcgenetics.cz, followed by a consultation with a specialist. Alternatively, we can arrange a consultation with a geneticist who will explain everything to you and recommend further appropriate steps.

Personalized analysis

If you wish to focus only on specific areas, you can use GenScan® INDIVIDUAL and choose 1–5 panels from the analyzed ones that are most important to you, or you can seek advice on the appropriate selection from our experts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Based on the results of the GenScan® analysis, it is possible to establish, specify, or exclude a diagnosis, determine the cause of any health issues you may have, evaluate the suitability of certain medications and the risk of adverse effects, identify the cause of infertility, target prevention or prophylaxis of multifactorial diseases, exclude or confirm food intolerances, and understand how your body metabolizes toxic substances and responds to environmental influences.
The analysis is conducted using multiple methods on cutting-edge equipment with multiple checks of output data and laboratory information by specialists. Given that it's a comprehensive analysis, approximately 1000 possible areas of your DNA, several hundred gene variants, and around 50 entire genes are evaluated. Finally, a physician evaluates the acquired data and compiles a final report for you. All information obtained from the analysis will be thoroughly discussed with you during a joint meeting, where individual preventive recommendations will be formulated, or treatment advice will be provided. Consultation with a GHC Genetics doctor is included in the analysis price.
They cannot. Testing for any predictive analysis is not recommended for individuals under the age of 18. In children, this type of testing is only possible in justified cases and based on a doctor's recommendation according to applicable criteria.
Privacy protection and the security of your data are one of our main priorities. The analysis and evaluation of the obtained sample are performed anonymously based on an assigned unique identifier. According to applicable legislation, DNA samples are disposed of in a prescribed manner after genetic laboratory testing is completed.
