Mgr. Renáta Michalovská, Ph.D.
She studied biochemistry at Palacký University in Olomouc and received her PhD in analytical chemistry. She focused on the study of the metabolism of natural substances at the cellular level. While abroad, she studied DNA biosensors at Suleyman Demirel Unversity in Isparta, Turkey. Previously, she worked as a cytogeneticist at Imalab, where she was mainly involved in non-invasive NIPT testing. In 2012 she completed a course in prenatal diagnostics at the Wolfson Institute of Preventive Medicine in London. In 2015, she obtained a postgraduate certificate in clinical genetics. Since 2016, she has been working as the head of the molecular biology laboratory at GHC Genetics. She focuses mostly on the issues of oncogenetics, i.e. the heredity of cancer here. In addition, she also focuses on syndromology, using next-generation sequencing analysis of the clinical exome.
