The first year of the Health Prevention Conference in Pardubice
On Tuesday, 21 May, the first year of the Prevention of Health Conference took place in Pardubice, organised by our sister company PRENET together with other institutions. The main purpose of the conference was to present the current possibilities and availability of preventive healthcare. Comprehensive prevention and early diagnosis are key to reducing the costs and increasing the success rate of treatment thus improving the health status of the Czech population, which has a major impact on the efficiency of the healthcare delivery system and is crucial for the economic development of the state and business.
The conference was attended by a number of prominent personalities from various medical fields. The first session was addressed by Prof. Milan Macek, MD, DrSc., MHA, who is the head of the National Coordinating Centre for Rare Diseases and the head of the Institute of Biology and Medical Genetics at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University. In his lecture he discussed current challenges and advances in the field of rare diseases, which attracted not only the professional public but also the general public.
The lecture by Mgr. Jana Havrdová, President and founder of the Czech Chamber of Fitness, who presented practical advice on how to incorporate more exercise into everyday life and the impact regular physical activity can have on overall health and disease prevention, was also very important.
Mgr. Hana Sládková Kávínová, head of the research department of GHC Genetics, presented to the public how important it is for us to know the composition of the gut microbiome and how important its overall impact on our organism is. She summarized the latest research that allows detailed analysis of the microbiome and brings new possibilities in the prevention and treatment of various diseases.
Part of the conference was also devoted to topics related to child health and prenatal care. Prof. MUDr. Ivana Kacerovská Musilová, Ph.D., presented to the audience modern procedures in prenatal diagnosis and care of pregnant women. In particular, she emphasized the key importance of early diagnosis and an individualized approach to care for pregnant women, which can significantly contribute to preventing complications and ensuring the healthy development of the child.
